SAN DIEGO, CA.
A grant from Clean Air USA was
used to provide graphics on the biodiesel pump at the Pearson Ford
Fuel Depot where legendary entertainer and world renowned
humanitarian Willie Nelson joined with celebrated actress and
biodiesel advocate Daryl Hannah to open the West Coast's first
"Bio Willie" pump.
Proceeds from the online store operated by Clean
Air USA were also used to provide an all weather outdoor banner at
the one of a kind alternative fuel station and learning center,
which contracts with the San Diego Public Schools to provide hands
on environmental curricula for area youth.
The mission of Clean Air USA is to improve the
quality of air and health by raising funds to be used in the direct
support for those providing fuel or installing biodiesel pumps at
fueling stations in neighborhoods and truck stops around the nation.
Clean Air USA is an alliance of both concerned
citizens and organizations that share a common vision that our
nation's future health and well being is dependent on our ability to
develop an alternative fuels infrastructure today so that cleaner
domestic fuels can find a permanent place our nation's energy
portfolio.
It is the purpose of Clean Air USA to work with
interests in communities around the country to identify the
resources and individuals needed to make alternative fuel the fuel
of choice for our nation's truckers and the millions of others that
operate vehicles now solely dependent on toxic imported fuels.
